Spring/Summer Beauty Trends for 2015

This spring/summer has a minimal look for makeup. For a lighter look of foundation, you can try a tinted moisturizer. If you need more coverage, you can try applying your foundation with a slightly damp sponge, and then use a stippling motion (tapping the sponge directly over problem areas) where you need that extra coverage.

Neutral shadows are being used on eyes, and heavier smokey eyes have been seen.

Liners are thicker, and bolder, if you dare. The colors vary from deep black, to bright blues, orange, etc.

Mascara is being done in different colors, black, bright blues, etc. The 60's look is also in.

Lip colors are ranging from soft pinks for the bitten look, to bold colors.

Hair: Women are wearing their hair longer, in different knot styles, varying from all of the hair pulling into a knot, to half up with a small knot.  Sleek, wet hair, and also loose waves, and big bouncy curls are in. They are being called bombshell blowouts.  Ponytails are being worn much looser, and lower. Hair is also being worn in braids, and twists, and in different styles of buns.

Argan Oil

You may have noticed that lately there are many products out  there that have added argan oil as an ingredient.  For those of you who don't know, argan oil is an oil that is derived from a kernel tree found in Morocco. It's primary use is for food, and is healthy for the heart, it can prevent various cancers, and obesity. Studies have shown that replacing butter with argan oil can reduce harmful levels of cholesterol,  and triglycerides in the blood. It is similar to olive oil.

Argan oil  contains vitamin E, phenols, squalene, and  fatty acids.  For food consumption, argan oil is roasted, but not for cosmetic purposes.

Moroccans use non roasted argan oil to treat skin diseases, as well as an oil for both skin, and hair.  It gives hair strength, and shine.  Argan oil is used to treat wrinkled skin, and extremely dry skin.  A great hair mask that repairs dry damaged hair without making it feel greasy is by Agadir.  It is a moisture mask, available at Amazon.com.  For styling,  you can try Nick Chavez Advanced Plump and Thick Thickening Hairspray, which contains argan oil, as well as acacia collagen. It thickens, and hydrates hair, gives it hold, without flaking, or tackiness. It's available at: NickChavezBeverlyHills.Com, or at QVC.com. You can also find all of his other wonderful products on both websites.
