Fall Makeup Color Trends 2012

This Fall, the makeup color trends are ranging from soft to bold. Eyeshadows are stronger shades of blue, and green with gold, or silver mixed in, bluish purple, and gray/silver. Plum shadows are still trending. You can try Prestige's Two to Tango. These shadows are plum on one side, and silver on the other.  You can also mix gold shadows, such as Prestige's Sugar Daddy with this shade. Apply the Sugar Daddy first over the lid, then mix a touch of light purple, and the Two to Tango. Brown shadows are being used as an alternative to the bold blues. They are being mixed with gold shadows.

Eyeliners are thicker this season, and some are even wearing eyeliner as "wing" style.  As an alternative, I would extend the liner outward slightly.

Mascaras this season are all about volume. There are many outstanding brands available. One that I like is L'Oreal True Match Natural. It really makes the lashes stand out, and there is no petroleum/paraffin/mineral oil.

Faces are looking fresh. My favorite foundations are from Your Name Pro. You can find them at some beauty supply stores, and salons. I also love the foundations by Dior, which you can purchase at department stores, or through the Internet. For powder, I love the mineral powder from Jane. Starting January 2013, the Jane line will be returning to stores. They mentioned bringing back previous products. In the meantime, you can purchase their new line at http://www.janecosmetics.com/ and for  more info on the store launching, and where you can ask about products that you would like to see in the stores, you can go to http://www.facebook.com/JaneCosmetics

Blush: Bronzer, and blush are being mixed. I like using Sunflower by Prestige in Sunkissed with Your Name Pro's Mineral Blush in Garden. The Your Name Pro products have high pigmentation, so you just need a small amount. Always be sure to blend your makeup for a natural clean look.

Lips: Lip colors this Fall are bold wines, deep browns, and dark plum shades. You can also wear your lip color as a lip stain, lipstick layered with gloss, or use gloss on it's own. Bold eye colors with nude lipsticks are still trending as well.

Nails: Black, and burgundy on the tips. Bright blues, teal, olive tones, gray, plum, gold, red (rust), burnt orange, green, blue with green, browns, metallic, shimmer, berry, and silver polishes are being used over the entire nail.
